Science and Human Values by Jacob Bronowski
I just finished Breaking The Spell and moving to Bronowski from Dennett has been very refreshing stylistically. Bronoski flows elegantly whereas Dennett is a lot more halting I assume because of the nature of the book’s argument.
Glorious day here in Miami. Listening to Salsa music playing in a bodega. Learned today that there a are currently over 50 million Hispanics in the United States of America. I doubt it will be too long before Spanish becomes the second official language as well accepted as English. Then Cervantes becomes our other master just as Shakespeare currently is.
So another blog, another post when we are already inundated by such things. It is saturation: Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Quora, LinkedIn. These are the offsprings of blogs and blogging in general. What do we make of this? Does it indeed point to the obvious that everyone has an opinion and a willingness to express it even if pedestrian, irrelevant, silly, or well thought out. It’s just that it is now easier to share with everyone and their grandmother. What is the next step in this rapidly evolving process?
